YOUTH ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT SUMMIT. WASHINGTON DC
Hosted by Kinderenergy's Global Peacemakers' Program, students from the USA & abroad will be rethinking the importance of gas in Post COP21-Paris 2015.
Pre-college and undergraduates interested in politics, environment, international relations, engineering, innovation and development economics will gather together in Washington DC at this one of a kind conference to discuss: the dilemma posed by the increasing global demand for energy, plummeting oil and gas prices, its affect on international politics, innovations in renewable energy (offshore wind & tidal energy, solar & nuclear); transitions the oil & gas industry is making to green their energy (someone from Statoil will speak); financing change to green and, how these changes will affect the Least Developed Countries. We hope to stimulate thinking and debate.
Kinderenergy is very grateful for the generous support of Statoil USA.
Participation at the conference is by invitation. If you would like to attend, please indicate your interest by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. The closing date for expressions of interest is 1st of April, 2017.
