If you are a university student of human rights law, international environmental law, development economics, medicine, international relations and would like to work with us in New York City, often sitting in at conferences inside the UN then, this is the internship for you.

We offer three-four week internships and quarterly internships to top students in fields relating to our mission. You will help us in research, meet with UN officials & foreign dignitaries and contribute to the general growth of Kinderenergy. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing an international career at the UN, WHO, UNESCO or within global health, development economics or international relations.

Dates: June - July 2018

Communications Internship in New York City

Kinderenergy is looking for an outgoing, creative and proactive individual to join its team as a communications and marketing intern. This intern will support Communications Director on mission campaigning using social media (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, etc) as well as other communications outputs such as website content, newsletters and press releases. This person must have poise and professionalism, very important traits which will be used to attend key meeting at the UN or interviewing dignitaries.

Responsibilities for Internships:

  • Employ creativity and resourcefulness in strengthening Kinderenergy's social media presence
  • Actively use Twitter and Facebook for outreach
  • Contribute to the drafting of press releases and email newsletters
  • Research social media tools/ strategies used by variety of sectors to identify areas of best practice and make recommendations
  • Monitor relevant news and information relevant to Kinderenergy's mission and our areas of work including: climate change, sustainable development, UN activities, women’s rights
  • Support administrative tasks
  • Be able to work alone
  • Must have own computer and cell phone

  • is someone with a sense of humor, has a desire to work in an informal and formal international environment
  • is able to speak languages other than English; although it is not a requirement
  • is able to work independently
